A Thursday high mass, English prayer service, and candle procession highlighted the weekend as local women funded a new school hall. About two hundred visitors from Findlay are expected to attend the Moose gathering at the Own lodge room. A Findlay drill team will perform, a special train will bring guests, a parade and band concert precede the meeting, and a banquet will be served during the evening.

Carey to install new White Way street lighting
The town of Carey is installing new white way lights under supervisor Charles Zahm Tolledo. Fisher Zahm leads a ten man crew to complete the project in about a week. Cable reels and a transformer arrive this week for Main and Vance streets with iron posts sixty feet apart and globe finials. The lighting system aims to make Carey one of the best lit towns and may spark a parade and band concert.

Gareys tabernacle closed last Sunday night and the building was razed Tuesday by sixteen workmen. Evangelists left Monday for a campaign near Sioux City Iowa and will return to Ohio in July for Spencerville. Final offering totaled 345 dollars with prior collections covering campaign expenses. One hundred ten people signed decision cards during the five week meeting, many of them children, as crowds praised the work though officials noted broader religious activity elsewhere lessening local enthusiasm. The field was not here.
