Mrs Mary Cross aged eighty four died after a period of feeble health at her home in Carey Ohio. She had lived in Hancock county and previously in Miami county. She was married twice to Daniel Hempy and William Cross and had twelve children among whom five survived. Funeral services were held at the United Brethren church with Rev J W Shock officiating.

Moose Memorial Service by Loyal Order at Parish Hall
The Loyal Order of Moose held a memorial service at Our Lady of Consolation Parish Hall Sunday at 2 30. About 108 Moose members marched with the Moose band led by Clyde Campbell. Rev Father Aloys Fish gave an address praising the order’s motto One for all all for one and urged unity. Mooseheart was praised as the home for the sick and indigent. Velma Campbell visited Bellefontaine relatives after the event.
