The couple, from South Patterson and Worrello street respectively, were attended by Emma Orians and Gilbert Brown. The bride wore navy with grey accessories and white rose bouquet. pink roses complemented Emma Orians. A family reception followed at the Vaughn home. Mr Brown works at the Carey Mill & Elevator. Mrs Brown previously worked at the Carey Garment Factory. They will reside with the bride’s parents.

Fire in Wood Shed at Lonsway Home
A fire broke out last Sunday evening in the wood shed at the Raymond Lonsway residence north of town. Sparks from the open fireplace ignited the floor but were spotted early and extinguished by the family. Some coal and wood were burned and the lawn mower handle scorched.

Death of Homer Thrall longtime Carey Times editor
Homer Thrall died at his West Findlay street home on Wednesday afternoon at age 93. He edited the Carey Times for thirty years and continued work until a few weeks before his death. Funeral services will be Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from his residence with burial in Alexandria. He served in the Civil War and later led a varied career in law ministry and journalism, shaping the town’s early industrial growth.

Reverend Thrall Remembered for Years of Service in Lutheran Sunday School
The article recalls Col. Thrall who, despite age related infirmities, taught a Lutheran Sunday school class in the city. He married Emma Boudinot on October 7, 1863 while on furlough from the South. Surviving are Litus Griswold Thrall of Marysville, Mrs. Felix Stern of Chicago, and Eloise Thrall, with two sons and a daughter who died in childhood.

Missionary Tea For Woman's Home Missionary Society
Members of the Woman's Home Missionary society of the M E church held a tea after their meeting at Mrs. George Ash's home. Mrs. Ash presided. devotions were led by Mrs. O L Shumate. A quartet sang with piano accompaniment, a member read a paper on Can't Afford Mite Box, and a talk on The Mite Box followed. The group closed with more singing and a mite box reminder, led by Mrs. Harshberger.
