Ex Mayor Van Heyde Dehad After Illness
Albert Van Heyde died at his North Street home after a brief illness from arsenic poisoning. Born May 8 1849 in Circleville Ohio he would have been 69. He lived in Carey where he served as mayor for three terms and was active in politics. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm today with Rev James W Gibson of the M E church officiating. burial in Sorting Grove cemetery.

Death of James H. Carothers at Dow Street Home
James H. Carothers died Thursday night at his Dow Street home after a brief grip illness. Funeral services were held Monday at the Lutheran church with Rev. E Luther Spaid officiating and Masons conducting the service. Interment was at Bigelow Cemetery. survivors include his widow Catherine E Horner Carothers two children Hazel and Glenn and three sons Willis Nelson and Lawrence T Carothers. He was born March 6 1839 in Pennsylvania and lived much of his life in Wyandot and Carey Ohio areas where he engaged in farming and business ventures.
