City Council Receives Salaries, Passes Fire Dept. Pay Ordinance

Detoured Trains After Big Four Freight Flips Cog
No. 96 the last Big Four freight derailed Tuesday morning near Midway after flipping a cog and entering the ditch. Trains were detoured to Forest route during the incident.

Automobile Crash Near Town Injures Swartz Family
Last Sunday forenoon a serious wreck occurred on the water bound pike two miles southeast of town. Mr and Mrs William Swartz and daughters Ethel Bernice and Mildred Sorg of Fostoria were en route to Upper Sandusky when a rear tire burst causing a flip. Mrs Swartz broke her left arm wrist. Mr Swartz broke left collar bone and bruised right shoulder. They were taken to John Wright home then to their house by train on the Hocking Valley line.
