Mrs George Eatherton Passes After Four Week Illness
Mrs George Eatherton died at her home northwest of Wharton after a four week illness with the flu. She was born October 14 1843 near Mt Blanchard in Hancock county and died at age 88 years 6 months 14 days. Surviving children include Philip Eatherton Harley Hather ton Edith Emaline Phelps R V Batherton Grover Eatherton and Jesse Batherton. Funeral services were held at St Paul church south of Vanlue with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Her burial gown was the dress she wore on her wedding day 64 years ago.
