Funeral services for Ruth Marie Kummerer
Funeral services were held at Our Lady of Consolation church for Ruth Marie Kummerer infant daughter of Mr and Mrs John Kummerer of southwest of town. Rev Father Fish officiated and Undertaker Diller was in charge. The infant died Saturday morning after illness of bronchial pneumonia at age 1 year 1 month and 22 days.

Fire Damages Home Near Carey After Stove Explosion
Last Thursday morning Mrs Ambrose Bland of five miles northeast of Carey found a fire in her kitchen while heating water on a coal oil stove. The stove is believed to have exploded. Mr Bland extinguished the flames with water but dense smoke caused heavy damage. A telephone alarm summoned many neighbors.
