Negro Found Dead in Field Near Careys Sub-Station
A decomposed body of a Black man was found by youths on a field north of Carey's electric sub-station. Coroner J. M. Thompson ruled death due to natural causes. The man, identified as Elisha Harrison alias R. Buckingham, had a purse marked Bloomdale and claimed from Arkansas. He appeared feeble with a snow white beard and carried weapons for imagined threats.
