A Civil War bomb shell weighing about twelve pounds rolled from the shelf and struck her hand bruising it badly. Her husband’s case holding his glasses was crushed and the lenses broke.
Peter Krupp has materials ready to build a cement porch seven feet wide and twenty nine feet long on one side of his country home. An additional thirty feet will run along the other side with a three foot extension near the bathroom. A cement walk will extend from the house to the road.
Elza Garn engineer at National Lime & Stone Co Plant injured while walking with a cane after a cap on a projecting bolt broke eighteen years ago. The accident caused exceptionally painful injury and occurred last week.
Mr and Mrs Robert Hilty hosted a Sunday birthday dinner for Mrs Hilty with guests Mr and Mrs A G Van O Linda Miss Essie Carothers Mrs A Hie Nigh and son Leonard Mr and Mrs Wm Zahn and Mr Jerry Garn in attendance.

G. W. Wise, a resident west of town, plans a move to a newly purchased farm between Fostoria and Bascom. The fifty-acre property now comprises ninety five acres and will become his residence in the near future.
Mrs. D. N. Hill left Saturday for Des Moines to join her husband. They will make their future home in Des Moines, a city they know well from earlier years.

John Shireman and family relocate north of town near the Northern Ohio railroad, while Charles Courtad purchases Shireman’s truck farm and renovates a barn and wood house. Moving day plans, new farms, and property perches spread across Upper Sandusky and surrounding townships, including purchases by Gust Kumerer, Emanuel Wentz, Alonzo Starkey, and others as April 1 set moving deadlines.
Chas. Van Buren has returned to Jersey City after eight months traveling through Europe in the interest of the ditcher he manufactures. Mrs. Van Buren stayed in Paris while he took over a machine installation. He also visited Germany during the trip.
Dr and Mrs W C Longfellow will take possession around April 1 of their North Vance street residence now occupied by J G Huston and family, the doctor having purchased the property several months ago.
The W. C. T. U. will meet Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. L. G. Ranger for their regular gathering.
Mrs. F. J. Miller invited the Ladies Aid Society of the M E church to sew carpet rags at her Vanlue residence. Eight chickens and twelve pumpkin pies were prepared. sixty-five guests enjoyed the feast as William Eatherton delivered the guests by sled omnibus.
A deadly accident occurred Friday near Adrian when a group including William Ewing Blaine Presler Ray Mullholand Ray Etchen and Phillip Kinney cut a coon tree. Ewing was pinned by the fallen trunk, leg crushed, thigh broken, and died before surgeons could save him. He was about fifty, survived by wife and two children.
During last week in Horseshoe Bottom south of Upper Sandusky a read of John Thomas goods was upset while moving through high water. Frank Haferd, Mark Karr and George Walters were forced into icy water to unhitch horses as a wagon and storm wagon toppled. Bread from a boiler and canned fruit scattered as the flood carried away Mrs Thomas’s prepared dinner. goods could not be recovered until the next day.
Clarence Krupp and family who had lived on North Vance Street in the John Brown property moved to the George Chenebrough house on South Street for temporary occupancy. After April they will reside in the house on South Vance Street, formerly Dr. W. C. Longfellow’s residence.
Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Mullholand and Mrs. George Mullholand hosted a Sunday dinner for friends. The three course meal celebrated Mr. and Mrs. Phil Rader and family who are soon to depart for Fostoru.
Mr. and Mrs. Brayton Davis entertained Sunday with dinner guests Miss Rose Haford Miss Lavinia Haford Ralph Haford Jesse Hudson and Richard Smith at their residence.
