The county reports progress on the temple in Upper Sandusky due for September dedication and notes a fireless cooker demonstration by the Nevada Stitchers Club. Flowers were sent for the funeral of William Raymond held Wednesday June 8. The Evangelical Sunday School sent a spray of carnations and ferns. Rev W Elmer Bailey and wife sent a spray of carnations. Mr and Mrs Joe Raymond and family of Harpster sent a spray of carnations and ferns.
Rain postponed the Pioneer Picnic but it will be held Friday June 24 at Stoll s Grove east of Crawford. The published program will proceed as fully as possible with committees: Music W H Karr Rev G H Beaschier Miss Alva Laws. The Knights of Pythias will hold an annual memorial service at the Lutheran church Sunday at 2 15 pm. Rev E Luther Spaid will preach. Lodge No 400 of Findlay will attend with its band to provide music. They meet at Castle Hall at 1:00 pm before proceeding to the church. G V Sutphen leads the band and E B Kenton is a member.
George Raymond of Harpster expresses sincere thanks to the United Evangelical Sunday school the church and friends who aided during the illness and burial of his brother William Raymond and for the beautiful flowers.
Otto Pflenger returned Saturday and Clare Ewing returned Wednesday for their summer vacation from Ohio State University studies. Don Cosgray and Russell Kurtz will remain until after commencement, Cosgray being one of in graduates.
Mr and Mrs L G Ranger with Mrs Chester Tate Mrs Lee Ogg Mrs A E Constien and Miss Florence Smith attended the 20th district Rebekah lodge convention held in Findlay last Wednesday.
J F Ewing of Adrian told a Times reporter on Saturday that his strawberry vines are nearly overloaded and he expects a record breaking yield this season in town.
The 22nd District Rebekahs plan their annual convention at an unspecified location on Thursday June 28 with afternoon and evening sessions. Officers, reports, music, and addresses are scheduled, including State Pres Josie Krider and local district officers from Bucyrus Sycamore Upper Sandusky Crestline and Carey.
In a Monday night session Mayor Van MHeyde presided with councilors present. Bills paid include Wild Rose Celery Farm plants and multiple labor charges. Joseph F Wonder announced his appointment as delegate to the state health boards meeting in Cleveland. The finance committee will hire an attorney over the Frank Ogg land withdrawal suit. A fireworks display was approved for an automobile parade. A crossing at Main Street east end was authorized and bids for Spring Run sidewalk construction at Muncie Street were to be published with city supplying all materials.
During May the Jersey cow belonging to Dr J E Nichols produced 1089 pounds 8 ounces of milk weighed in two daily measures. The milk tested 5 4 grading the yield at 69 pounds of butter with 854 butter fat content.
The Clippers host the Springfield Athletic Club Sunday at their ball park. The game time is 2 30. Admission is 25 cents with ladies free in the grand stand. The match is expected to draw a 60 40 percent crowd.

The Times announces multiple staffing moves in Danville Indiana. Danville foreman accepted a new position and arrived Sunday. Arlene Slater becomes solicitor for a few months while Nellie Phillips starts as compositor last week. Mr Pennington, with nine years at the Record Danville and seven as foreman, joins as head of the mechanical department. His family will follow later.
Luncheon guests Miss Eunice Courtad entertained Sunday evening at her north town home. Attendees included Misses Elizabeth Krupp Frances Kramer Clara Coppler and Ailene Slater.
