The C HW V FP rail road company plans a major station improvement at this place. The current building will move northward while a thirty foot addition is added to the south end. A south freight room, two waiting rooms for ladies and gentlemen, a slate roof, handsome paint, and a 200 foot tile pavement accompany a new park area, enhancing town beauty.
John Steele died last Saturday morning at Dr. J. D. Southward's residence in the city aged 85 years 3 months and 7 days. He had lived with Dr. Southward for several years and helped raise Mrs. Southward's mother. The remains were taken to Braeburn Pa for burial, accompanied by Dr. and Mrs. Southward. A brief funeral service was held led by Rev. J. I. Wean of the M. E. church.
