Derby Opens at Sportsman's Park Prize Fishing Event
Sportsman's Club allocates three cash prizes of 20 silver dollars each for top boy and top girl under 14 and for the first person over 14 to bring a fish to the judges. Derby runs from 1 p.m. Sunday at Sportsman's Recreational Park Lake near Carey, continues through Labor Day, with members only after Sunday for un caught tagged fish. Entry fee is 1 dollar for all participants.

Pool Opens After Weekend Heat With Lessons Start Monday
Miss Helen Ellis of Upper Sandusky will conduct junior and senior life saving classes at Memorial Park pool starting 9 a.m. Monday. Adult lessons begin 9 p.m. Monday for beginners and advanced swimmers. Register at the pool with Manager Earl Greer. Water temperature reads 75 degrees, up 15. Teens in Critical Condition After Rear-End Collision
Darla Turnbell 16 and Tommy Nye 17 of Fostoria, along with passenger and driver, were critically injured Sunday when their car was struck from behind on State Route 12. Paul Hedden 37 of Kansas Ohio sustained chest injuries. All three youths were transported to Toledo Hospital after initial treatment in Fostoria.
