In a rambunctious Sunday contest at the rubber plant diamond the Olds Motors of Toledo beat the Semi-Pros 9 to 6. Donelson’s squad built a 4-1 lead, then the Olds erupted for seven hits and ten runs across the fifth and sixth innings. Keckler yielded 13 hits, with nine going for extra bases, while Sterns Myers and Ruffer homered for the visitors. The Semi-Pros rallied in the ninth but fell short. Next Sunday the Semis meet Wernert’s A. C. from Toledo as manager works to end the skid.

Death of Pietro Pieraccini at St Elizabeth's Hospital
Pietro Pieraccini died after an operation for intestinal obstruction at St Elizabeth's Hospital Dayton. The Dayton funeral home cared for his remains and a requiem high mass was held at Our Lady of Consolation. He was born in 1856 in Barga Italy and survived by four children two sisters eight grandchildren. He established a confectionery business in Carey with his sons Fred and Henry, retiring in 1920. He visited Italy in 1913 and lived mainly in Carey. Burial was in St Mary's Cemetery.
