The Bond Hotel Co plans a new hotel on the Boody house site and has filed separate common pleas court suits Thursday against George J. Peifer and Joseph M. Pfeifer. The men allegedly subscribed for 50 shares each at $100 but refused to take up the stock, paying only $500 of the $4,600 remaining. George J. Pfeifer, son in law of Sherman Bond, seeks $4,500 against each Pfeifer.
Lawrence Fox of the 66th Engineers on a 10 day furlough from United States General Hospital Baltimore for rheumatism in his ankles. The 66th are railroaders and their officers have railroading experience. The hospital aids veterans and teaches trades. Fox notes the care as excellent and recalls fellow soldiers bound for France.
