Journey to Paris on 34 50 From Carey to Paris 1900

He details stock-train transfers to Buffalo and New York, a harsh voyage aboard a stock boat to London, then trains to Paris, surviving poverty in New York and Paris until finding work at the U S Pavilion Paris Exposition. He notes scarce funds, lodging struggles, and reliance on a distant financial appeal while logging rough but vivid scenes from Buffalo yards to Paris streets.
