Plans to improve two short sections of State Route 15 in Hancock county east of Findlay are to be discussed at a 10 a.m. bid-setting session in Columbus. The project includes upgrading the Blanchard River Bridge with a new floor modern railing and widened pavement, plus a culvert replacement. road closures and detours will occur. Estimated cost about 210000 dollars with completion by June 15, 1961, part of a larger 49 mile construction program totaling over 13 million dollars for 14 projects.

David Lee Wilcox 17 and passenger Terry Rader 13 were treated at Fostoria City Hospital after a 2 PM crash northwest of town. Wilcox lost control while reaching for a falling package, striking a car parked in front of Walter Roynon at 514 Findlay Street.
