Carey School Band Plans Two Open Air Concerts
The Carey Schools band directed by Leonard Klein will perform two Wednesday evening concerts this month. The first on July 3 features marches and overtures including Military Escort, King Lear, Victory, Illuminator, El Capitan and National Emblem. Memorial Evangelical church program aids Vermilion assembly trip
Members of Memorial Evangelical church offered a program Sunday evening in the church auditorium. The offering will fund sending delegates to the Assembly at Linwood Park Vermilion beginning next Monday. It featured a Prelude by Orvetta Wentling, choruses led by Richard Hawkins, vocal duets, a musical reading, a trombone solo, a poem, another vocal duet, a talk by Hawkins, a double quartet, and a pantomime Youth Building a New World with named participants and a benediction.

Operation for Talipes in Toledo Child Undergoes Surgery
Hugh De Roy three year old son of Mr and Mrs Albert Lanning of Carey underwent an operation for talipes about two weeks ago at St Vincent's hospital Toledo. Dr Schelett performed the operation. The boy is improving and will soon return home for a short stay before further treatment. He had been under the care of Dr A E Starner of Marion who is recovering from a fractured back suffered in an automobile accident June 7. Starner was returning from Springfield to attend a similar case in Marion City hospital. De Roy showed remarkable improvement under Starner's care.

At the last Carey school board meeting the foundation program law was reviewed, showing a $30 60 per elementary pupil and $4690 per high school pupil allocation with 180 days, a 1935-36 budget adopted, a public hearing set for July 18, and a projected three mill local tax reduction. A document from the general land office dated November 26 1853 shows a certificate proving full payment by James Hibbins for 40 acres in Wyandot Reserve Ohio. Fatal two-car crash claims life near Crawford store
A Friday evening collision on Route 23 near the Crawford store killed Charles Reynolds and injured George H. Bland,Mrs Bland, and Norbert Brooks. Reynolds died instantly. Brooks and the Blands were treated at Findlay hospital with serious and improving conditions reported. State and local authorities investigated the wreck, both cars damaged beyond repair.

Charles Foster Reynolds Dies After Long Wyandot County Life
Charles Foster Reynolds born February 25 1870 on a Wharton area farm died at age 65 4 3. He married Effie Wickiser January 1 1895 and she survives with two daughters Mary and Esther and a grandson Allen Yentzer. He spent his life in Wyandot County taught district schools lived in Carey operated a filling station and worked as an oil and paint salesman. He was an I O O F member and funeral services were held at the Robert Reynolds home in Wharton with burial in Wharton cemetery.
