Death of John Heck Pioneer of Findlay Area
John Heck died Tuesday night at 11:30 at his son David Heck’s West Main street residence after a two year struggle with light paralytic strokes. The funeral will be held Friday at 12:30 p.m. at the residence, with Rev. E Luther Spa id officiating, then in Findlay at 2:30 p.m. at the First Church of God. He was 82 years, 4 months, 20 days old, born in York County Pennsylvania, married Lydia Sherrick in 1856, and leaves four children, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, four brothers and two sisters, plus a late wife. He drilled the gas well starting the Findlay boom and helped lay out the Heck addition before moving to Carey two years ago.

The Memorial United Evangelical church in Carey hosts the Teacher Training Class commencement on July 10 at p. m.
