Dunkirk Pioneer John Adam Orth Dies at 103
John Adam Orth, longtime Dunkirk resident and Hardin county farmer and lumberman, died Saturday night after a 66 week illness. Born February 26 1836 in Wayne county Ohio, he lived nearly all his life in Hardin county and homesteaded two miles east of Dola before retiring. He was the son of Adam and his German-born wife who came to Hardin county in a covered wagon.
