Carey Grapplers Rally To Beat Lakota In Close Meet
Carey High School grapplers erased an 18-3 deficit to defeat Lakota 19-18. Eight of eleven wrestlers won to reach the finals. Ron Ox McKinnon won at 175 pounds with 12 straight wins and 11 pins. The team finished third with 65 points in a tournament at Ontario High School.

The U S Department of Agriculture announced a six week signup from February 5 to March 15 1968 for voluntary wheat and feed grain programs. The Dorcas Carey Library Board elected Paul A Burson president with Mrs Wendel Myers as vice president and Sister Mary Joan as secretary. Mrs Walter Klein was named clerk. Epiphany Party Held by Third Order Members
Members of the Third Order of St Francis and guests met Sunday January 7 at 3 pm in the Catholic School for the Epiphany Party. Fr Hubert opened with prayer and Mrs Vaughn welcomed attendees, sharing Epiphany meaning and the Wise Men story. A gift exchange was led by Mrs Clarence Elchert, and a Christ Child display centered the buffet with minewreaths. attendance prize went to Harry Myers.
