Weather brings cold snap after light snow and storm

Bad Fall Injures Local Worker Earl Williams
Earl Williams son of Mr and Mrs Corey Williams suffered severe injuries after a ladder slipped on ice while workers from Huston and Paul were repairing spouting at Mrs Ehrlichs home south of the city. He fell from about eighteen to twenty feet bruising his chin and right leg while injuring both bones at the right wrist and left arm ligaments. Dr R C Van Buren treated him before he was taken to his parents home on South street.

City Council Minutes Report Financials and Paving Action
City council members met with Mayor Laughlin absent. Finance committee found books in excellent shape and detailed receipts and balances. An appropriation ordinance for half year ending June 30, 1913 was approved and Asphalt Paving Block Co. paid $4,016.91 for Vance Street paving.
