Carey Couple Injured En Route To Florida
Sidney Beebe learned on December 31 that his parents Mr and Mrs R C Beebe and his sister in law and brother Mr and Mrs F B Schwarer of Fort Pierce Florida were hurt in a Georgia collision near Thomasville likely December 29 when a car in front changed lanes. Mr Beebe broke an elbow Mrs Beebe nose and facial injuries and Mrs Schwarer bruises chest while Mr Schwarer escaped serious harm. The two couples had to buy a replacement car after the wreck and had left Carey December 27 planning a four month stay in Fort Pierce where the Schwarers have a winter home.

Sportsmen Erect Wildlife Shelters From Old Christmas Trees
Carey Conservation and Sportsman Association members collected discarded Christmas trees to build seven or eight game shelters at the sportsman park and surrounding rural areas. The project used a flat bottom trailer and four pickups loaded with trees. Boy Scouts and volunteers aided, providing equipment and assistance.

Huge Hornet Nest Display At Adrian Window
