Death of Jacob L Yohe longtime Carey resident
Jacob L Yohe died at 1 50 a m Tuesday at his residence on North Vance Street after a nine month illness with cancer. A private funeral was held at his home, followed by a public service at Christ Lutheran Church. Burial was in Spring Grove Cemetery. He was born July 30 1872 in Vanlue and married Annette May McCreary in 1898. Surviving are four children Rev Emery Yohe James Yohe Gertrude Yohe and others. two siblings preceded him. He lived in Carey 60 years and served 28 years as rural mail carrier. He was active in Christ Lutheran Church and respected in the community.

Mrs. Alice Gear formerly of Carey died Sunday at her Toledo home after an extended illness. A 79 year old widow of E M Gear she lived in Toledo after leaving Carey. Survived by sister Miss Sarah Close of Toledo and several deceased children including Kyle Fred and Julia Bauslin. Funeral services held at a cemetery north of Carey on Wednesday.
