Death Ends Suffering of Mrs. Hiram R. Kesler in Carey
Mrs Minnie Belle Kesler nee Cole died at her mother's house in Carey after a decade of poor health and a cancer diagnosis from an Oct hospital visit in Toledo. Funeral services were held at the United Brethren church with Pythian Sisters and Rebekahs as pallbearers. interment followed at Spring Grove cemetery. Survived by husband Hiram R. Kesler, mother Ann Cole, sister Mrs R H Salisbury of Toledo, and brothers David and Harvey.

William C Dixon of 245 Hart Street died after a long illness of tuberculosis. He was born May 29, 1894 in Care s and survived by his parents and several siblings. Marion Tribuns Patrol No 1 and Boy Scouts held a final vacation day hike, leaving the library at 1 PM for a four mile hike east of town with a fire, games, and supper. Marshal Buckland jailed William Bowers for 30 days and $25, his sentence from Mayor I G Chambers, after Bowers attempted to break out of the workhouse with an axe and urged discipline involving his son.
