Mrs H C Coppler Dies After Illness and Family Notice
Mrs. H C Coppler died Monday at 3:00 AM at her son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Oscar Veith East Bigelow street from a complication of diseases after illness since last June. She was bedfast four months and moved from Salem township a week ago. Amanda Michaels born February 27 1855 in Salem township married in April 1873 to H C Coppler who survives with many children and relatives. funeral Wednesday at 2:00 PM from Veith home conducted by Rev J W Brock at Carey. burial in Old Mission cemetery. Frozen fish disaster at tile yard pond
About a thousand fish perished in a shallow pond at the tile yard this winter. A single carcass measured 17 inches and weighed 134 pounds, illustrating the scale of the loss.
Mrs Sarah Shuman Rites Highlight Long Life of Service
Mrs Sarah Naomi Shuman of Ridge Township Wyandot County Ohio died February 20 1918 at 66 years 5 months and 10 days. She left three children 100 grandchildren and many relatives. Survived by husband Joseph Shuman predeceased 29 years earlier. Funeral Saturday at Bigelow Chapel with Rev Creech officiating.
