Killed At a Crossing Near Upper Sandusky
John Culver employed at a livery stable in Upper Sandusky was killed Friday night when struck by a northbound Hocking Valley train at Frey’s crossing south of town. He died instantly from severe head injuries. the horses were spared. Culver, born 1848 in Mercer county, was a widower with three children and served as Tyler of the Blue Lodge in Upper Sandusky.
