Monday night February 12 the F H A sponsored a Valentine dance with a swing band for the first time this year. A short program and games were enjoyed, then refreshments and square dancing followed. the event was greatly enjoyed by all.

Carey High Band Wraps Tour With Nevada High School
The Carey High School Band completed its tour with an evening performance at Nevada High School and an assembly the next morning. The program included overtures from The Student Prince and A Egyptian serenade Amina, a swing number in B flat, narration of Nell the Farmer's Daughter, and flute solo Little Brown Jug. The Swing Band debuted at the Valentine Dance on February 12 as Melody Masters provided the evening’s music.

Wyandot County Vaccinates Wide School Smallpox Safety Drive
A large portion of Wyandot County students from first through twelfth grade were vaccinated last Monday. Over two thousand children received the smallpox vaccine through the county health department in an effort to prevent an outbreak and keep the community safe amid the disease.
