Death of George Zabriskie in Adrian at 71
George Zabriskie son of Peter and Sarah Reed Zabriskie was born August 6 1841 in Mc Cutchenville and died February 6 1912 in Adrian aged 71 years 6 months. He leaves a wife and daughter a sister and many friends. He served a year in the Civil War enlisting October 8 1864 in Company D 65th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Funeral services were held at the Evangelical church in Adrian February 9 and he was laid to rest in McCutchenville cemetery.

John Tyson of near Vanlue visited the Times office on a Saturday afternoon. A Carey Pioneer, he came about sixty seven years ago when Indians still roamed the forest around the town site. He recalls cutting many cords of wood on land now included in the corporate area.

On Monday at the Cram home Mrs. Cram and Mrs. Thrall hosted the Travelers' Club. A dinner preceded hours of games with guest pianist Déran Ferrer and vocalists including Mrs. Dow and Mrs. Beitler. Marriage unites Eunice Straw and Max Hines in Upper Sandusky
Miss Eunice Straw daughter of Mr and Mrs J B Straw and Mr Max Hines son of Mr and Mrs George Hines both of Jackson township wed at Rev Holland's home in Upper Sandusky on a Saturday forenoon. They lodged at the Hotel Gottfried then visited Carey with the bride’s sister before returning home to begin housekeeping on the groom’s mother’s farm two mules south of Forest.

Injured at Bucyrus in woodworking accident
Mr Werley a former Bucyrus resident and pattern maker at Carroll Works sustained a painful injury Wednesday morning while operating a rip saw. He reached over to mark wood, drawing his hand back into the blade and lacerating the ring and middle fingers of his left hand. He was treated and will be off work for several days.

Record-breaking winter freezes potatoes at Longs and neighbors
Jr. H. Long of near Wharton said in the Times office that his stored winter potatoes froze for the first time. He suffered a loss of twenty five bushels while neighbors report losses as high as seventy five bushels. Cellars that never froze before could not withstand the winter.

New Sprayins Law Extends to Ohio Orchards

Grocers Reassure Hours Will Stay Open Evenings
