Newlyweds Bell in Honeymoon Procession
Friends of Luther Haines escorted the newly married couple from Vanlue to Carey in a decorator buggy pulled by an automobile. The procession included seven or eight cars and others joined in as they paraded through Carey streets before returning the bride and groom to Vanlue.

Barn Fire Destroys Presser Farm Northeast of Carey
At noon Friday the barn on the Presser farm near Carey was destroyed by fire. Tenants Mr and Mrs C S Stone and daughter were in Willard. A Ford touring car, an auto truck and farm machinery burned. An ewe with twin lambs died while the rest of the sheep were rescued. Loss partially covered by insurance.
