Mr and Mrs Paul J Pahl of Elm Hill Road three miles south of Carey celebrate their golden anniversary on Sunday February 23 with a 12 o clock Mass at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation and a reception at home for friends. They were married February 24 1914 in the Our Lady of Consolation rectory with Father Aloysius Fish officiating. They have two children Millicent wife of Tom Deiner and Paul F Pahl Carey police captain plus five grandchildren.

Nineteen Carey High School students were inducted into the National Honor Society during a Feb. 7 assembly. Seventeen seniors inducted in junior year joined as new members, with a list of named inductees including George Cressman Carol Croll and juniors Carol Fabiani Judy Heck Bonnie Arend and others.
