U S Commission Marks 50th Annual Stockholders Meeting

About 350 attended a steak dinner as former managers Welker and Racheter were honored. Carey High wrestlers head to Toledo district tourney
Carey High School will send four wrestlers to the district tournament in Toledo this Friday and Saturday after finishing the regular season 4-6 and placing fourth at the Findlay sectional. Key wrestlers include Mark Adelsperger and Dallas Mundy with records 10-4-2 and 15-1 entering the district. Jeff Enders Don Lynch Jim McKinnon and others also advanced to sectionals with notable wins and losses.

Carey Board and Teacher Association Discuss Welfare Needs
Carey Board of Education met February 10 with Carey Teachers Association representatives to discuss longevity pay hospitalization sick leave and more. The board considered establishing teacher committees and reviewed education policy areas while reporting on the Blanchard Valley Vocational School proposal and salary recommendations. The meeting listed attendees including Superintendent Doug Myers and CTA president Carl Dilts. NOTICE The Post Office will be closed Saturday February 22nd. No deliveries nor window service. A stove fire at 41914 W Findlay Street in Sue Weaver’s apartment was reported at 8 25 a.m. February 17. Eight Carey Volunteer Firemen extinguished the blaze causing floor damage and smoke damage. Building owner is John Risner.
