Police Serve Warrants for Unpaid Meter Fines
The Carey Police Department is cracking down on unpaid meter violation tickets. Fines are 25 cents if paid within the first hour, otherwise one dollar. In January 389 tickets issued, 385 paid, totaling 146.90 dollars with 322 at 25 cents and 58 at one dollar, plus $3.40 in miscellaneous.
