Athletic Reporter Judson Peodacick notes a regular Hi Y meeting with Rev. M Paul Paetznick giving a talk on Faith. Carey high students will see The Sky Defenders on Feb 24 at 1:00 pm, seven reels, Be admission. Sixth grade reports Lincoln and defense stamps total $68.45.
Students studied the Seminole Pueblo and Iroquois tribes and made clay dishes and animals. They weave Indian mats and earn feathers for each 100 in tasks, with Rose Marie Davis leading five feathers and several others at four. Darlerf Fruth has moved to Fosteria.
A total of 258 men signed up in Garey Monday at Shafer's garage for the nationwide registration of men 20 to 45. Thirteen were from outside the county and one driver from Cleveland, a Czechoslovak native. Weyandot County total was 1,083 with 26 non residents.
The Peoples Bank will not be open for business on Monday February 23 in observance of Washington's birthday. President T. Be Dromgold issues the notice.
A notice states Palm Leaf Rebekah lodge will hold a regular meeting next Tuesday evening February 24. Members are asked to attend and report on lodge affairs and upcoming activities.

Methodist women of Wyandot county meet at Carey Methodist church on Thursday February 26. Sessions begin at 10 30 with lunch served at the church. District officers including Mrs. W E Grove Curtice and Mrs. Paul Alexander Toledo will discuss the year’s work.

Jerry Lee Shumaker M 14 months of E Finglay street was brought home from St. Vincent's Toledo after a two month old operation for a congenital condition. He spent eight weeks in an incubator with limbs tied to expose the incision to healing light. Miss Inez Zender of New Riegel cared for him. He will need another major operation soon.
The Carey F F A potato judging team placed ninth in the Ohio contest held January 30 in Columbus. Members were Giles Krupp Fred Brown and Daryl Margraf among 68 teams competing.
The women of the Methodist Lutheran and Evangelical churches will join in a service at the Methodist church Friday to observe World Day of Prayer.

The Buckeye Entertainers will perform at the Moose lodge this Saturday for a Red Cross fundraiser. The event, sponsored by the Moose lodge and Women of the Moose, aims to outdo January’s successful dance. Admission is 25 cents.
The Fortnightly club sponsors a Red Cross benefit at Christ Lutheran parish hall on Thursday evening February 26. Rev. Donald W. Cryer will review John Gunther's Inside Latin America. A patriotic program by the Carey Schools Swing Band will follow. Admission is 25 cents and the public is invited. The program begins at 8:00.

A Saturday night event on February 21 features free eats and door prizes including a $5.00 defense stamp and a 50-cent stamp for a lucky number. Attendees must be present to win and are urged to come early and stay late with reminders of Pearl Harbor and a wartime foe.

Miss Ellen Frazier of Carey Ohio plans Karnival Kapers night at Stuyvesant hall Ohio Wesleyan University for February 28 with open house and a dance in the basement ballroom. She is a Pi Beta Phi pledge and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D J Frazier.
A Carey Council Knights of Columbus delegation attended a Tiffin gathering honoring past grand knights. Rev. Matthew Clancy spoke as state chaplain. The first degree will be conferred Tuesday evening with the Tiffin degree team leading. Candidates come from Carey, Upper Sandusky and Tiffin.
Zack Montgomery, five year local manager of Ohio Fuel Gas Co, is transferred March 1 to Findlay to serve as district inspector. Charles Laube, from Ada, will replace him as local manager.

The American Legion Auxiliary will meet Monday at 8 o'clock in the evening. The social committee includes Mrs. J. A. Schira, Mrs. E. F. Thome, Mrs. Harry Rook, Mrs. S. R. Bame and Miss Florence Schira.

Barbara Houk of Delaware prepares posters for the Melody March dance at Ohio Wesleyan University. The event, set for March 7 in Monnett Hall, features the Pi Beta Phi sophomore daughter of Mr and Mrs Harold Houk locating on Findlay Street in Carey.
