The village council resolves to maintain current eastern war time across railroads factories post offices banks and merchants to align school hours with industrial and mercantile schedules. Carey To Stay On War Time In Summer
At a village council meeting H. G. Chambers was directed to draft a resolution keeping Carey on eastern war time during the summer months. Next fall the town will discuss switching to central time. The council is expected to approve the resolution at the next meeting. The state legislature has placed the state on central time, and Governor Bricker signed that bill, but Carey will remain on eastern war time for now.
