General Scholarship Test Planned for Carey High School Seniors
Carey high school seniors will take a general scholarship test on April 1 at 9 a.m. Earl B. Driver was named to administers the Wyandot County committee. The test total is 300 points, reduces time to two and a half hours, and scoring occurs at the state office using a New International Scoring Machine. An enrollment fee of 50 cents per pupil is due at testing. Eligible students are in the upper 40 percent of their class. others may participate with a principal’s recommendation. County schools will be represented.

Smoke Masks Used Here for First Time
Carey fire department used newly purchased smoke masks for the first time Friday forenoon when F A Miller saw smoke in John Risner's barber shop at 8 Vance street. A short circuit in electrical equipment is blamed. Damage is about 25 dollars. Masks were funded by a magazine selling campaign last summer. The firemen thank those who helped by ordering magazines.

Encounterer Spring Discovered During Town Hall Excavation
Workmen encountered a 20 foot deep spring flowing through lime shale during excavation for the new municipal building. A pump drained the water and forms were poured. A 30 foot hole was dug to lift sewage later, lined with concrete to keep water from the building.
Stork Delivers Three Early February Babies Near Carey
A 10-pound son arrived Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kramer three miles north of Carey. An 8-pound daughter named Sara Ruth was born Sunday, February 5, to Mr. and Mrs. Truman Romig, two and a half miles west of Carey. A 7.75-pound son named Richard Roscoe was born Monday, February 6, to Mr. and Mrs. Dean Ruehle, six miles northeast of Carey. Mrs. Ruehle is Ruth Romig before her marriage.

Family to Attend Funeral of Paul A Hepp in Wapakoneta
Mr and Mrs John Jacoby and Mr and Mrs Leo Bradman will travel to Wapakoneta Friday to attend the funeral of their nephew Paul A Hepp 28 who died Monday at his home after a 10 day illness.
