Paul Zeis of Akron daughter of J W Zeis and Mary Brayton from Carroll Street won first place in a national high school editorial writing contest run by the Quill and Scroll society. The 12 A student at Central High School previously wrote for the Forge and served in the Central honor society. The announcement came from Iowa City headquarters.
