Through line to Missouri River eyed in Pittsburgh rail deal
A Wabash representative reports plans by James Callery of the Pittsburg and Western and William Semple of Allegheny City to build a short line from Akron to Chicago Junction and a link to Carey, forming a through route to the Missouri River. If completed, freight and passenger trains would run from Pittsburgh to the Missouri River.
