Grandson Receives God and Country Award at Findlay Church
Five members of the First Methodist Church of Findlay scouting units received God and Country awards during a worship service last Sunday. Mike West, son of Richard and a grandson of Clayton Twining, was among the recipients presented by Rev. James Price. Former Garey Man Receives Plaque and Trip Honors
Larry Vaughn of Crawford is one of two men honored by Western and Southern Life Insurance for writing more than a half million dollars in insurance in 1964. He received a gold engraved plaque a trophy and a bonus and will attend a Leaders' Convention in New Orleans with his wife Siby Wentling. Vaughn, a recent Mansfield recruit, is a member of the President's Club and was among new Quarter Million Dollar Club inductees at a Holiday Inn dinner.

Village Council Accepts Material Bids for 1964
At the February 1 meeting the village accepted bids for 1964 road and utility materials from National Lime & Stone Co Ohio Engineering and Standard Oil Co and others. The refuse contract with Frank Heck was renewed for two years effective February 4 1965. Flooding of the tennis court was reviewed by Jaycees Richard Snook and Louis Hoepf who proposed repairs after better weather and to consider fogging machines. They evaluated Curtis Co fogging units and a larger municipal unit, with a decision to table and obtain a demonstration. Gas rates from Columbia Gas of Ohio were reduced effective March 1 1965. The cemetery layout plan was displayed for future work.

Grover Snyder of 737 E Findlay Street received a 50 year Masonic award at Carey Lodge No 420 F and A M after decades of service to the Blue Lodge and other Masonic bodies.
