Bliza Garn of the Northern Ohio railroad bridge-gang met with a severe accident last Thursday at Medina. He slipped while stepping down from his car as a local train passed, injuring his right arm. No bones were broken but ligaments were torn. he will wear an arm sling at home for some time.

The mid year meeting of the executive committee of the W C T U was held at United Evangelical church in this city last Wednesday. A resolutions committee was appointed to report at the county convention in August. The resignation of Mrs George as superintendent of Premature Was accepted and Mrs Cod Smith of Carey was elected to fill the office. The Anti-Saloon League convention report was given, and the county institute will be held at Nevada in March with Mrs Romans to speak.

Injured Hand After Icy Fall on Saturday
Robert Drake slipped on an icy pavement Saturday at noon and injure his right hand. Two small bones at the base of the hand were forced past each other, causing a painful but not serious experience for Mr. Drake.

Home Economics added to Ohio Extension program in Carey
The Home Economics subject gains broader attention in Ohio this year and will be taught for the first time in many rural schools as part of the Extension school at Carey February 15 to 19. Experts from the College of Agriculture will lead daily sessions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. covering meat and egg use, bread baking, vegetables and salads, meal planning, home decoration, and household management to improve family feeding and domestic beauty.

City Council approves bonds for street lighting and land sale
Monday night the city council paid various bills including gas, coal, groceries, and legal ads. The street committee hired J F Brown to install signal lights by daily rate. Burial of Henry W. Mann at Spring Grove Cemetery
Henry W. Mann born December 12 1860 in Putnam township Michigan was buried at Spring Grove cemetery Sunday with Rev J W Shock officiating. He married Susan Ann Bauchmann March 5 1883 and had five children two died earlier. Surviving are Joseph H Hellen at home and Mrs Edward Kuntz of Marion. He was a Marion contractor for thirteen years.
