Mr and Mrs Clifford Bland sold the Carey Snack Bar to John Gilespie of Tiffin. He will take possession March 1 and plans changes before reopening. The Blands hosted about 70 friends at a taffy pull and dance Monday evening, the snack bar now closed. Refreshments were served.

Three Injured in Findlay Two Car Collision
A two car collision in Findlay at 9 45 p.m. Tuesday injured three persons. William Carlton, 17, of N Baltimore Route 1, collided with George E Mundy, 33, who attempted a left turn at the Main and East Main Cross Streets intersection. Dan Minds, 19, of N Baltimore, was a Carlton passenger. All received cuts and bruises and Mundy suffered a possible fracture of the right arm.

Agriculture Club activity and pest hunt results reported
Vice-president Wendell Hackworth called the Agriculture Club to order with 18 members present. Pest hunt results showed sophomores and juniors leading freshmen and seniors by about 5,000 points. The pest hunt ends February 15. The club voted to start a gilt chain with a gift for the outstanding freshman, chosen by a committee based on scholarship, agriculture grades, projects, home improvement, and club points. The recipient must return a pure bred gift or equivalent to the club for next year's award.

The Carey Community Chest announced a total of 3169.07 in receipts and 3105.70 in disbursements after its January 31 meeting at the Municipal building. Board members present included Harry Rook, Mrs. Paul Burson, Mrs. Wilford Shuman, Cyril Baker, John Greer, Ferdinand Williams, and Mrs. Paul Heck. Disbursements covered Carey High School Band, Boy Scouts, Gal Scouts, HI-Y, Y-Teens, Mental Health, Board of Youth Activities, and Carey Times supplies. part of the band funds was earmarked for music repairs and a new uniform fund. School Trip Accident Ditches Car On Icy Route
Miss Rose Marie Davis Miss Betty Jackson and her guest Miss Tyler returned to Bowling Green State University after mid term vacation with parents. Seventy Visitation Teams Planned by Carey First Methodist
On Sunday afternoon February 12, seventy members from Carey First Methodist Church will visit about two by two in 200 Methodist homes in Carey and nearby areas. The event, led by the Membership and Evangelism Commission to boost Lent and Easter church attendance, will begin with a combined service where the minister speaks on Modern Day Disciples before teams reconvene at 2 PM for assignments. Car overturns near Carey injures no one
A 1949 Dodge driven by Robert E Bohlen on Route 23 five miles south of Carey rolled over at 230 pm Friday after the driver lost control. Bohlen was uninjured though the car sustained extensive damage. Investigation was conducted by the Wyandot County sheriff's department.
