Everett Scheck Buys Wm Coldren Farm At Auction
Everett Scheck purchased at auction the 62 acre farm three miles southeast of Carey from William Coldren for 141 dollars per acre. Possession is given March 1. Scheck, owner of Scheck's Super Market, will move his family to the farm and rent fields. The Coldrens move to Greenville Michigan to run a summer resort with four cabins and plans for more.

Ill with hiccups at Columbus hospital with foot infection
Laird Kinley has suffered hiccups since Sunday January 29 and is reported very weak after entering University Hospital Columbus January 28 for a foot infection. He has had several blood transfusions and a treatment of carbon dioxide gas mixed with oxygen. Mrs Kinsey and daughter Mrs Dean Clady visit him each evening.

Beginning Thursday February 9, New York Central passenger trains via Carey will be reduced to Sunday Tuesday Thursday and Saturday service. Regular schedules remain Monday Wednesday and Friday. Detroit to Indianapolis through trains and the Royal Palm Special Detroit to Florida will keep normal runs and may stop at Carey. Call the depot for exact times.
