Carey High School falls to North Baltimore Tigers 40 to 23

Carey high school gym hosted a tough defeat as North Baltimore dominated with height and defense. Heck led Carey with 12 points on 5 field goals and 2 foul shots while Nye added four points. the Tigers' pressure stifled Carey's offense and sent the crowd home disappointed.

Evangelical Meetings Open Sunday Weeklong Series

A series of evangelistic meetings will begin Sunday evening at the Evangelical church and run through the week. The first evening features the pastor with Rev. HE D Paulin of Neenah Wisconsin to deliver the gospel message. Special music and congregational singing will accompany each service. You're welcome.

Knights of Pythias to celebrate 125th anniversary event

Justus lodge No. 393 met Tuesday in regular session to plan the 75th anniversary of the Knights of Pythias founding and the 50th anniversary of Justus lodge. The public is invited to the celebration on Tuesday evening February 21 with members urged to attend the intervening meeting to prepare the program.

Eagles Valentine Dance at Eagles Hall with 8 piece orchestra

A Valentine dance will be held at the Eagles hall on Tuesday evening February 14. Bob Hawks and his eight piece orchestra The Star Dusters with a girl vocalist will provide music and entertainment. Admission is 25 cents per person. At the dance, Burleigh Hatcher of Upper Sandusky won the grand prize an occasional chair.

Woman's Missionary Society Plans February Meeting

The Woman's Missionary society of the Methodist church will meet at Mrs. Carl Krout home on Wednesday afternoon February 15. Mrs S R Bame will review the remaining chapters of Moving Millions. An address by Mrs Ruth of Marton and readings by Mrs Charles Shearer of Marton will be enjoyed, with devotions led by Mrs C G Laird.

Haines Sues for Partition of Farms in Seneca Township

James A. Haines filed a common pleas court suit against Frances M Sugrue seeking partition of farms totaling 11922 acres and 78.78 acres in Seneca township. He claims an undivided half interest as a devisee of his father Levi Haines of Tiffin.

Welsh recitalist Oswald Johns to perform at First Methodist

Recital by Oswald Johns, Welsh-born radio and concert artist, presents a program at First Methodist Episcopal church next Sunday February 12 at 7 30 p m. Aid Society Meeting At St Paul Evangelical Church

The Ladies Aid Society of St Paul Evangelical church south of Vanlue met at Mrs. Arthur Rader's home on February 2 with members and guests. They sewed rag rags, shared a potluck noon meal, and held a short afternoon session. The next meeting is planned for March 2 with Mrs. Rachel Wright southwest of Vanlue.

Ralph Arend rents the John Sdau farm north of town. Mr and Mrs Paul Krupp move to Carey at month end. They buy a Brayton street house from Mr and Mrs Carl Rader, who buy the Ernest Siden Stricker property across the street. The Deastricker family also leaves town.
