The little daughter of Henry Merrick of north of Upper Sandusky was reported ill with meningitis last week. Cora Alkire of Brownstown died of croup after a two day illness. Thurman Wrightsman, administrator of Margaret Wrightsman’s estate, seeks sale of real estate. Judge Scofield adjourned the September term of the court. Rev F B Heivert of Plymouth, former Juutheran pastor, notes January record at Plymouth church with 36 new members from 17 families joining. In nine months the charge has 61 accessions and aims for 100 by Easter.
A report from Sycamore notes that twenty seven members of the subordinate lodge of the Kuaieht of Pythias in a nearby big city traveled to Sycamore last Thursday to meet with the lodge there. A delegation from the Nevada lodge attended and initiated a candidate into the second degree while the Carey lodge advanced him to the third. Afterward a banquet was served.
A wreck on the Big Four railroad last Thursday near Fors West left a car partially off the track. The 96 northbound line delayed traffic for about a half mile as wrecking train was called. Passenger trains were detoured via Hocking Valley and Pennsylvania railroads.
Guy Chesebrough announces a public sale of stock and farming implements on Friday February 9. He has purchased a sixty acre farm in Midland County Michigan and will relocate around March 15, three miles east of Coleman.
The weekly forecast shows milder temperatures from the middle west to the Pacific, with no cold wave expected. Expect a period of snow and rain light to moderate, mainly west Tuesday or Wednesday, middle west Thursday, and eastern states Friday or Saturday. Frequent rains possible along northern Atlantic routes.

Mrs. Louisa Byal of Findlay was found dead in bed last Saturday morning after retiring in good health the night before. An examination showed she had been dead for some time. The wake and funeral were held with several local friends in attendance.
A public debate was held Friday night at X High School, discussing whether the United States should maintain its role as a leading nation. Charles Barton led the affirmative, with Jacob Nar and Ralph Livingston as other speakers. D Y Hart served as moderator, while judges Brenry Poth Krupp and Mos Quidie named the decision.
