D B May of Marancie Michigan and a Toledo brother claimed the remains of their father who died at the town hall last Thursday morning. The man, identified via an item in his pocket, was J B May. He had been a wealthy stock dealer, later worked in Indianapolis stock yards, and was on a trip from Toledo to Indianapolis when he fell ill and stopped here. The sons took the body to Pioneer Ohio where the wife lives. funeral held Tuesday afternoon.

Northern Ohio train crew stranded in snow near Carey
A passenger train and two engines were stalled two miles west of Carey on Tuesday evening about 6 00 PM. Section crews freed the train by noon the next day. The snow plow broke after weeks of constant use and no shelter was found. A local couple celebrated births and family ties as Ruth Elizabeth Newlin and Martha Lucille Presler were noted, along with a 6 pound son born to the Hart family in Clearwater Florida.
