Sacred cantata Daniel at Lutheran church draws large crowd
The Monday evening performance of the cantata Daniel or the Captivity and Restoration at the Lutheran church attracted a largely attended audience. Director Prof. J. B. Moore led 34 local voices with soloist Mrs. Harriet Marshal from Upper Sandusky. The silver offering at the door netted about 45 dollars.

Mrs. A S Beck of Amanda township held a seventy fourth birthday shower Friday January 0 and received 184 cards. She thanks friends for the thoughtful gesture. Our readers recall Buffalo Jones lassoing wild animals in Africa for moving pictures and releasing them after filming. The Royal theater proprietor C C Kissette says he will exhibit the pictures in March.

Death of Mrs Mary Nye longtime Carey resident
Mrs Mary Nye also known as Magdalene Nye died at her North street home in Carey on Friday January 27 at 10 30 am after two years of illness. She was 72 years 4 months and 4 days old born September 28 1833 in Amanda township Hancock County. She married D Le Nye March 26 1856 and lived in Carey most of her life. She leaves eight children and one brother George Starr. Funeral was Monday at 1 30 pm at the Lutheran church conducted by Rev E Luther Spaid with a spring grove cemetery interment and a church quartet providing music.
