Multiple Vehicle Incidents Reported on Findlay Street Area

Paragraphs describe several Dec incidents in Carey related to cars on Findlay Street and nearby streets. A 1966 Chevrolet Sting Ray sustained 75 dollars damage after unknown party kicked it near 218 Findlay. A 1966 Mercury Comet reportedly struck a telephone pole on Findlay at 5 27 p.m. Dec 24 injuring driver John Puckett with a cut above the left eye. A two car crash at Findlay and West Streets at 11 17 a.m. Dec 24 caused 100 dollars damage to each vehicle and led Ruth Billock to be cited for failure to yield. A 1963 Volkswagen scraped a 1969 Dodge at North and East Streets at 11 47 a.m. Dec 36 with minor damage. A three car parking lot collision behind 231 East Findlay at 6 56 p.m. Dec 24 caused 190 dollars damage to a 1968 Chevrolet driven by Richard Doppler.

Carey Implement Celebrates 25 Years With IH Award

The Farm Equipment Division of International Harvester honored Gerald Traxler and Carter Kauble, partners of Carey Implement Store in Carey Ohio, at a November 12 1969 ceremony in Ottawa Illinois. They received jeweled tie bars and plaques for 25 years of service.

Carey DeMolay members win Represen tative DeMolay Awards

Twenty Carey Chapter DeMolay members earned the Representative DeMolay Award at the 16th District meet held in the Carey Masonic Temple. The Carey chapter received the award for having the most Representative DeMolay Awards in the state. George Snyder chaired the awards presentation as Carey Chapter’s charter was presented. Meritorial Service Awards went to Mark Williams and Terery Landis. O Tower Swartz attended as state RD director with district sweetheart Judy Cooper and Carey sweetheart Ruth Anne Dotson.

Wyandot County Agriculture Society Holds Annual Meeting

The Wyandot County Agriculture Society held its final meeting of the year at the fairground office on December 19. President A J Leightey was re elected, Clyde Bell named vice president, and Russell L Mewhorter retained as secretary. Ron Courtwright noted district fair board convention insights and Larry Ralston will oversee most 4 H work starting January 1.

Upper Market to Close Doors in Upper Sandusky

James Bolton of Scheck's Market Inc announces Upper Market will discontinue operations. The January 10 1970 closing date follows a 1965 opening in the former Kroger building. Purchases have been curtailed and stock will be sold over the next two weeks, with extra items like 3 rocking chairs offered.
