Wyandot County Training School for Religious Leadership Planned
Plans are completed for a 10 week Wyandot County Training School for Religious Leadership at the Union school building in Upper Sandusky. Dr J E Hartzler of Whitmarsum seminary Bluffton will give inspirational lectures and instructors will conduct study periods. The course aims to train Sunday school teachers and others in religious education with full state credits. A single larger school is favored over regional classes. Superintendent participation is urged. The term costs $1 for the entire course. Rev George W Good will lead with a board of managers assisting in curriculum.

Jealousy Blamed in Christmas Eve Shooting
John C. Howland, 43, of Carey, shot and wounded Mrs. Clara Robinet, 45, and then shot himself under the heart on Christmas Eve. Robinet was hit in the right leg above the knee. Howland survived a self-inflicted wound. He went to police headquarters and later was taken to Home and Hospital where surgeons searched for the bullet.

Washington police uncovered a 1000 gallon daily capacity still on the capital’s second floor near prohibition headquarters. Twenty seven vats held a thousand gallons of mash each. most were full. Seized items included 30 gallons of whisky 2000 pounds of sugar 900 pounds of corn meal and other equipment.

H. H. Phelps longtime Carey resident died Friday at his Amsden home after a months illness. Survived by wife son W. H. E. Phelps and daughter Miss Bertha Phelps of Toledo.
