Arden Schade of the National Lime and Stone plant was seriously hurt when a car driven by Robert Barrett of Adrian struck him along the road north of town about 6 45 Saturday morning as Schade walked to report at the office. Angus Calf Wins First Reserve Champion at Cleveland Show
Five Aberdeen Angus calves from the Burson and Ward herd were shown in Cleveland last week with four placing in the top ten. One calf sold to the American Legion in Cleveland and used by the group 28 as a project. The winning calf topped the Aberdeen Angus class and earned reserve champion of all breeds. All five calves were raised on Earl Burson’s farm west of Carey.
