O. P. Presler, rural carrier on Route 2 from Carey, will retire November 1 after 30 years service. Jay H. Martin of Morral will transfer here to fill the vacancy, moving in about 10 days. The soldiers and sailors department of the local W C T U collects old silk hosiery silk garments and carpet rags to send to the home for the blind in Dayton. Pressler an engineer on the USS Wyoming has asked for discharge after being offered a Goodyear Tire Co position in Akron. He led the auxiliary repair gang on Wyoming during a cruise that included Italy and they were guests of the King and Mussolini on a tour to Mt Vesuvius Pompeii the Vatican and the National Museum at Rome.
