About 75 members of Shan temple No. 111 Dramatic Order of the Knights of Khorassan Findlay attended a convention from Friday to Sunday at the Hotel Breakers Cedar Point. A large class of candidates was initiated and R. P. Wright of Carey had a leading part. Delegates came from Washington Oklahoma Colorado New Mexico Florida Kentucky and Indiana. Clarence Tucker of S Patterson street also attended.

The town of Oregon later known as Adrian was surveyed February 17 1844 by R M Shoemaker and De Witt Henderson. Adrian started as Foster Mills a postal town with Wm White its first postmaster. C G Fenn served long as postmaster, followed by William Haines in 1885. Adrian was laid out with six streets and 100 lots near the Cincinnati Sandusky and Cleveland railroad, with Findlay street as main east west road and Carey West West street and McCutcheon North south streets named around the rail line.
